“Lisa Bruce has been a pleasure to work with during our landscaping project. She put us at ease from the beginning. She brought energy and insight into the project. She truly loves plants and has an eye for what will work in a layout. In addition to drawing up plans, she took the time to patiently explain the pros and cons of various options and show us (but not overwhelm us) with pictures. She listened to us when we explained our preferences about colors, ease of care, and maintenance requirements. She located a competent landscaping company to execute the design. She is approachable, available to answer questions, and did not pressure us. She truly cares about the project and makes it a point to check in regularly during the process, to be sure the plan was executed properly. I appreciate her eye for design, her attention to detail, her communication skills, and her passion for plants!” Michelle – Sudbury, MA
“It’s with great pleasure that I am writing a brief message to those who are contemplating landscaping. Lisa brings years of experience. She has the unique ability to see your property for what it can look like. She enhanced my property to where it sold the very first day at well over asking.
Don’t hesitate to ask Lisa for help with your landscaping.” John – Natick, MA
“We turned to Lisa’s Garden Design at the point where we had a fairly well-established backyard natural landscape which had been installed in the previous few years. However, we were unsure about a number of things: what the names of some of our trees, plants, shrubs and ground covers were; how much water they required; why some were not thriving; which ones required pruning and if so, how to do that.
Lisa helped us with all of this and provided the kind of advice and guidance we were looking for. It was practical; creative; and easily implemented by us. Lisa also offered to do anything we didn’t want to take on, like obtaining soil samples of parts of our backyard where the things planted were not thriving (or actually dying) for unclear reasons. She also designed a small plot running along our front sidewalk; obtained the plantings (at our request); and gave us the choice of installing them or taking on that responsibility herself. An especially wonderful thing was that Lisa suggested plantings which matched not only the color of our house, but also the surrounding landscaping and our maple tree. She also really understood our sadness at the loss (twice) of an important tree and worked hard and effectively to recommend a replacement.
We’ve only worked with Lisa for less than a year but are already looking forward to continuing to work with her as an active partner.” Anne – Framingham, MA
